About Shreya Sen
I often find myself inspired by the ancient Greek concept of "Oneiros," which represents dreams and the subconscious. Just as dreams shape our thoughts and aspirations, architecture shapes our environments and influences our daily lives. This connection between dreams and design has been a guiding principle in my work and philosophy.
From a young age, I was captivated by the interplay of light, space, and form, much like the ethereal quality of dreams. Each architectural project I embark on is a journey into the realm of Oneiros—a quest to create spaces that resonate with emotion and purpose. I believe that architecture should not only serve functional needs but also evoke feelings, spark imagination, and inspire creativity.
Throughout my studies at Savannah College of Art & Design, I explored how architecture and fashion can act as a bridge between dreams and reality. My work emphasises such as sustainable practices, gothic architecture, futuristic design or community-focused design aiming to bring dreams to life while respecting the environment and the communities we inhabit.
In this blog, I invite you to explore how the concept of Oneiros informs my approach to architecture. Together, we’ll delve into projects, ideas, and reflections that celebrate the dreamlike potential of design.
Here’s a concise and unique version that combines the concept of Oneiros with my architectural journey - IV.
